Technology is becoming more prominent in the world of heavy civil construction. At A.W. Oakes & Son, we have been utilizing GPS equipment since the early 2000s and haven’t looked back. We have a full fleet of GPS equipment that gives millimeter accuracy on our bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, trimmers, and concrete paving equipment. We utilize Topcon, Trimble, and Leica systems with local and GPS capabilities to ensure, in any environment, we can provide the most accurate data.

Our office staff conduct take-offs ensuring the plans are accurate, including value added engineering. We utilize drone equipment to survey, perform take-offs, conduct inventory, and more. Our technology team is well-experienced in the field and in the office. We plan to continue growing with the evolution of remote controlled equipment and the advancement of AI.
