A.W. Oakes & Son is transforming Milwaukee’s South Shore Beach by improving water quality, reinforcing the shoreline, and enhancing recreational opportunities. The project includes relocating the beach 1,500 feet south, placing over 35,000 tons of breakwater and shoreline armor stone, and adding 13,000 tons of new beach sand.
