A.W. Oakes & Son played a pivotal role in the Moorland Road reconstruction project in New Berlin, Wisconsin, completed in June of 2024. The extensive project, a collaboration between the Wisconsin DOT and Waukesha County, involved a full pavement reconstruction of over 7,700 feet of Moorland Road and a significant portion of National Avenue. In addition to repaving, the project included substantial excavation, storm sewer installation, and the construction of a complex intersection. Despite initial funding challenges, the A.W. Oakes team successfully overcame obstacles through careful planning, innovative solutions, and a strong emphasis on safety and collaboration.
